District Grants Chair, Dave Long, wishes to remind you that your application for a District Grant (local community or international project) must be submitted by March 31, 2018.  Applications for District Grant projects can receive up to $5,000 per club, up to $10,000 for partnering with 1 additional club, or up to $15,000 for partnering with 2 or more clubs.

Remember, too, that your club needs to become Qualified to participate in the 2018-19 Grants program.
1.  If someone from your club did not attend one of the 4 Grant Management Seminars (GMS) held earlier this year, you must plan to attend the GMS scheduled for Thursday, April 26 at 1:00 P .M. at the District Conference in Thunder Bay.  You can register for this when you register for the Conference, so please plan accordingly.  There is no charge to attend the GMS.

2.  D5580 is preparing an online learning video for those Rotarians who’ve attended at least one GMS in the past two years.  Gloria Mink will inform D5580 Rotarians when the online learning video is ready for use.

3.  If someone from your club did attend a GMS but has not yet submitted the attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOA) and Addendum, please get this document signed and sent back to the District Office.  It must be signed by the 2018-19 Club President and 2018-19 Club President-Elect.  Signatures are required on Pages 3 and 4, and please fill in the name of your club.  After signatures are obtain, please scan the document and email it to Roly Turner at RotaryRoly@tbaytel.net

4.  Those of you attending the GMS at District Conference will receive the MOU and Addendum there, or you can complete the signatures on the forms found on our website and bring it with you.

In a nutshell,  for your club to become Qualified to participate in the 2018-19 Grants Program, attend the upcoming GMS and get the MOU & Addendum (found under Grants on the D5580 website) signed and returned to Roly Turner
