This month Rotaract clubs around the world are going to be celebrating Rotaract’s 50th Anniversary on March 13th. To celebrate this upcoming milestone Rotaracts are having fellowship events and participating in all kinds of service projects. Rotaract first started when Rotarians in North Carolina chartered the first Rotaract Club to give young people a place to do good and take action. Today there are over 10,000 Rotaract Clubs and 250,000 Rotaractors worldwide. The Twin Ports Rotaract and the Thunder Bay Rotaract club have been extremely active this year taking action in their communities and carrying out good deeds.

The Twin Ports Rotaract Club recently spent their Valentine’s Day handing out 100 goodie bags at the Aftenro nursing home in Duluth, MN.  The Twin Ports Rotaract also recently jumped into Lake Superior to raise money for the Special Olympics, total amount $1,500! The Thunder Bay Rotaract Club recently hosted a Bake Sale to raise funds for their upcoming projects, and they raised $300!

Your Rotary club can be a part of educating these young leaders and showing them what it is to be a Rotarian. For more information on how your Rotary club can inspire young leaders to become a part of Rotaract, please contact me via email; Mabelmac.24@gmail.com
