Alessandro Notari and Lyssie Byer were crowned Nevis High School Snow Daze Prince and Princess Jan. 29.The Park Rapids Rotary Club is hosting Alessandro as Rotary Youth Exchange Student this year. He is from Cremona, Italy, a city located southeast of Milan in the northern part of the country. His hosts are Rotarian Missy Lindow and her family of husband, Andy, and their four children of Nevis.
Alessandro is taking some college level classes along with his classes in Italy and thus studies at least five hours a day. He plans to go to college in Berlin to be a physician. His sports activities this year have been football and basketball and he plans to do track this spring. His passion is photography. He has tried fishing, but hasn’t landed any yet.
The Park Rapids Rotary Club has hosted a Rotary Youth Exchange Student nearly every year since 1968.
