This SITE page is designed to provide Rotary Clubs in District 5580 with the chance to review active or upcoming projects and to evaluate opportunities for potentially participating in the projects financially or as volunteer workers.  This could be especially helpful to smaller clubs who may not be able to do a large project on its own, but by "partnering," a project could be funded, staffed, and successfully completed.

Indigenous Women Group Prenatal Care Training, Global Grant number:  GG1980712

Water Purification System, Puerto Rico  WCS Grant 19.2.14

Description:  Furnishing a water purification unit to Puerto Rico as their needs have increased since the hurricane of 2017.  Fargo Moorhead Rotarians are joining forces with Park Rapids Rotary to send two teams to Puerto Rico in early and mid-November 2018. 
We’d appreciate your financial support with the water purification unit shown in the attachment.  Possible openings for participation on a team helping with implementation and other volunteer work.   
The Final Report will show all the D5580 clubs who contributed and it will be featured at District Conference next April.
Smart Classroom Global Grant, District 3212 India (multiple school locations)

Description:  A Global Grant to equip 40 Government or Government aided schools in District 3212, selected by 20 Rotary clubs with an E Learning Module. The module consists of a Ceiling Mounted Projector, Retractile 6x4 feet screen, a Computer with Internet and Blue Tooth fascility, Audio system and an UPS and a Computer Table. Educational DVDs will be given to all schools and around 80 teachers will be trained at an Engineering College to use the systems.  Requesting sponsorship from District 5580 clubs and for this project.  All the 20 clubs taking part in this Global Grant have agreed to give 100 USD for Navajo Water project.

There are several Global Grant Projects being initiated by D6440 within Zones 28/29 in the form of club cash donations.  The complete document outlining these projects can be downloaded from the area on the left side of this page.  This document contains photos and detailed information on each of the projects mentioned, and contact information is also listed if clubs need additional information.  These Global Grant projects involve the areas of Health, Literacy, Micro-Credit Agriculture, Water Wells, Wheel Chairs and Nutrition.
