Bismarck Rotarians Raise A Glass to Raise Funds
Stonehome Brewing in Bismarck creates a special beer in their microbrewery every year, specifically for the Bismarck Rotary Club. A small group of select Rotarians enjoys appetizers and drinks (courtesy of Rotarian Dave Mason) and determine a moniker for the concoction. Stonehome then donates $1 for every pint sold to our PolioPlus campaign. This year's brew? "Pucker Up and Do Good Sour Ale" is a plum and sweet cherry ale with pineapple added during the fermentation process. Come to Bismarck and order a pint for yourself and Do Good!
The Bismarck Rotary Club's Membership Mixer and Foundation Event on March 20 included a wine auction. Attendees donated a bottle of wine, enjoyed appetizers and some social time, and then Rotarian and Co-Sargeant-at-Arms Dan Schreck served as auctioneer for the donated bottles, eliciting laughs and bids from participants. It was a fun time that was educational as well as impactful - the event raised $4,525 to purchase a cardboard baler for the Dream Center in Bismarck, which provides free meals every day of the week to those in need. Thanks to our Foundation Committee and Chair Kathy Schneider for a great event!
