The District 5580 Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) committee met on August 21st and will meet again in September, but in the meantime we would like our D5580 Rotarians to provide suggestions as to our next destination. Remember the destinations can be worldwide including Canada and the USA and it is open to D5580 Rotarians and their significant others.
RFE teams can consist of four to six couples traveling to the hosting District. Accommodations are provided by the Rotarian hosts including access to laundry and most (if not all) meals. There may be some ground travel expense and certainly the air travel expense is covered by those lucky enough to be selected to the D5580 RFE team.

The length of stay is normally 2 weeks, but it can vary as agreed upon between the host and visiting districts. The districts will agree to the numbers going in both directions as D5580 will then host the selected district when they find the according time frame to visit us! The visiting RFE team may be asked to pay admission to special events and attractions. Shopping and personal expenses (including necessary travel and medical insurance) are the responsibility of the RFE team members with no liability to the host district.
Thus far, various D5580 teams have traveled to the UK, Australia, India and Louisiana. New suggestions thus far include: Bulgaria, Russia, Italy, South Africa and Rwanda. We’d appreciate your input.
