There are so many ways to improve people’s lives both here at home and around the world. The Rotary Foundation can be your means to making a positive difference in people’s lives. Half of the funds that you give to the Rotary Foundation come back to our district in the form of District Designated Funds (DDF). The other half goes into the Rotary Foundation World Fund the which provides the matching funds for large international projects. The DDF our district receives provides the matching funds for our district club’s local and international projects. Both the district matching grants and the, unique to our district, World Community Service (WCS) matching grants provide a 1:1 match for club funds. What a great way to leverage your resources and make a difference in people’s lives! Funds are still available so if you have a special project in mind for this Rotary year please contact our Grants committee chair, Molly Herrington, molly.j.herrington@gmail.com .
These are the great projects that have been approved for our clubs this Rotary year. About half of the committed projects for this year are for international projects while the other half benefits our communities here at home
