Foundation wrap up - 2022-2023 fiscal year
The fiscal year 2022-23 came to a close on June 30, 2023. As I mentioned in previous articles, our Annual Fund giving goal is $100 per capita ($100 average per Rotarian in our district). While we did not achieve our annual fund goal, we had a very successful year closing out the year at approximately $92.42 per capita. That is the 2nd highest per capita contribution in the past 5 years! Considering we were sitting at $67 per capita in May 2023, the Foundation Committee extends a huge THANK YOU to the Rotarians that responded and impacted our Annual Fund giving!
In addition, we had a very success year raising funds for the PolioPlus Fund raising $141,522 for the year ending June 30, 2023. That amount is the largest contribution in the past 5 years! Thank you for your support of the PolioPlus Fund.
Unfortunately, we still have a number of clubs, which have NO members making contributions to either the Annual Fund or the PolioPlus Fund. The Foundation committee will strive to raise awareness of the importance of contributing to these funds to the mission of The Rotary Foundation and our District.
To make a contribution to the TRF Annual Fund or PolioPlus Fund go to the TRF website https://my.rotary.org/en/ and click on the DONATE button on the top right corner of the page. However, if you sign in on My Rotary before you donate, your personal and club giving records will be automatically updated for your contributions.
As we reflect on the past year, I thank our district leadership for their support of the Foundation Committee. I also thank the members of the Foundation Committee for their contributions during the past year. I look forward to working with the following Foundation committee members in the upcoming year.
