HELPING MINOT
As you know, the people of Minot, ND, have suffered tremendous losses with the recent floodng of the Souris River, and District 5580 has been in touch with Rotarians in both of the Minot Rotary Clubs to offer assistance. District Governor, Roly Turner, and incoming District Governor, Tom Riley, have discussed the most immediate way that D5580 Clubs can help this community in time of need.
Should individual Rotarians or your Club as a whole wish to contribute to the Minot Flood Recovery effort, we would suggest using the Minot Area Community Foundation (MACF) for this purpose. The President of MACF is Minot Rotarian, Ken Kitzman, and I am sure he would gladly answer any questions. You can contact Ken through the website mentioned below. Clubs and individuals may donate by check or on-line. Contributions made by individuals in the US are tax deductible.

In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Minot and other nearby communities affected by tis devastating flood.
