Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a youth leadership camp that gives high school students hands-on active learning activities and sessions to build on their own leadership skills. The 27th District 5580 RYLA will be held July 8-14 at the University of Minnesota, Crookston campus.

Don't miss the deadline of March 1 to submit payment to reserve spots for students and April 28 to turn in camper applications. Full details on deadlines, where to find applications, etc can be found online at http://district5580ryla.org/rotarians/
For the first time RYLA had an intern during Fall, 2017. Matti Pelland, senior at Bemidji State College, completed a Marketing Management internship focused on media strategy, training programs, and social promotion for this year's RYLA. We are lucky Matti has been a committed volunteer since she attended camp in 2012 and continues to find ways to give back using her skill set in media promotions.

Just check-in on Facebook or Instagram to see a daily countdown for 2018 RYLA. You'll see blast from the past photos, important reminders, and a way to show potential students a flavor of RYLA.

Thank you to all Rotarians who contribute to making RYLA a gem of this district. Your dedication to sponsoring and promoting  makes a difference in these student's lives as noted from a 2017 camper:

"Before I got here people told me cherish RYLA it is truly life changing and I didn't understand at all how a camp could be life changing. Sure camps are inspirational and fun but mostly a good experience with only somethings you will take back with you. Now as tears are shed as I leave, my paradigm on life has completely changed and I believe that I will go home with a whole new perspective on life and can honestly say that RYLA was life changing."
