District 5580 Youth Exchange Update: The first weekend of November found our current inbound District 5580 international exchange students mingling with our potential U.S. outbound students for the next academic year. The international students were gathering in Fargo, ND, for connection, service, and further Rotary mentoring as they settle into their new schools, host families, and communities. Meanwhile, five U.S. high school students and their parents traveled to Fargo from around the District to be interviewed as potential outgoing U.S. Rotary exchange student ambassadors for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is the first year that potential outbound students have interacted this early in the application process with the current international students placed across District 5580. Both groups of students, as well as the new outbound parents, found the Rotary adventure of forging new international connections very worthwhile, rewarding, and fun!
