I hope you all are having a great summer!
When someone asks you about what Rotary does, do you have an answer? You might tell people about your club and what you do to help on projects to make the community better. That’s a great way to have people in your area want to join us. But did you know there are other talking points to tell potential members?
There are several points such as:
· Rotary is the #1 Service Organization on the planet.
· Rotary played a role in the founding of the UN and is Instrumental in the Charter of the United Nations.
· Eradicating Polio from the planet. We’re a big reason why many people have never heard of Polio, let alone been infected.
· Rotary is rooted in relationships. Our value in friendship means impact is increased and based on trust.
· In a divided world, it is more important than ever to belong to something that is non-political, non-religious, and welcoming to all!!
· Our flexible model allows innovators to connect in an impactful and accountable way all guided by the four-way test.
Public Image isn’t just about promoting Rotary. It’s about helping people understand the difference Rotary makes—and giving them a reason to want to be part of it.
So, the next time someone asks what Rotary is, be ready. You have more to talk about than you might think!
