The Rotary Club of Nipigon is committed to supporting projects locally, in our region, nationally, and internationally. We have contributed to projects in India, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Ethiopia to name a few.

This past year the Nipigon Rotary Club provided $3,000 U.S. to successfully partner with the Rotary Club of Cataraqui-Kingston in acquiring a Global Grant to be used to install digital labs in the Tenderfoot Primary School in Nairobi County and the Tigoni Primary School in Kiambu County.

This international project is taking place in Kenya where the Rotary Club of Lang'ata is working to bring access to digital literacy to over 2000 students and 10 teachers in primary schools in under-serviced communities. Their plan will set up sustainable digital labs with enriched learning resources and digital tools for the teachers to use in providing students with the skills to make them globally competitive. Last year they donated digital labs to 2 public primary schools serving a total population of 850 pupils and 26 teachers.

Community support of our local fund-raisers allows us to champion a variety of projects as we work to meet our commitment to International Service.
