Did you know that we have a new district award category? Congratulations to this year's inaugural environmental award winners : Thunder Bay Rotary Environmental Action Team and Fargo-Moorhead AM for their club Environmental Stewardship projects, and John Forrest of Brainerd for his longtime service as an Environmental Champion. These awardees demonstrated outstanding, sustained and truly powerful impact in their communities.
This could be you next year! Plan now for engaging service projects that protect our planet. As we illustrated in our breakout session, you need not be alone - align with local (or farther-reaching) partners who are doing similar work to multiply your impact. Focus on addressing a community need that can be embraced over the long term by as many people as possible. Plan, communicate, empower and engage. Create a pollinator garden, host an annual plant sale, build a nature playscape, host an educational event, protect your waterways through clean-ups and signage... The sky's the limit! Join us at an Environment Committee monthly meeting to tell us your ideas and get more support for your efforts.
Go forth and make change in the world. You can do it. We need you!
