When it comes to Doing Good in this World, there is Much to Do! And we can always use a few more hands...As Rotarians, we are always on the lookout for additional members...those who are willing to get engaged, eager to "Make a Difference."...And as Rotary evolves, Rotary Adjusts...seeking to be more effective at those beneficial things we do...
After several years of falling numbers, and analyzing the reasons behind same, Rotary International and individual Rotary Clubs are adapting...changing...evolving ..and now moving to increase the size, and scope, of our "army" of volunteers...Increased flexibilty has become the catalyst that has allowed, end even promoted, the adjustments we see in place now...And NOW is the time to work on maximizing the new opportunities we see...
Some of the restrictions that held us back thru the years- seen by many as rigid rules and inflexible standards- have been lifted.... Clubs are altering the way they operate. And new approaches to recruitment and retention are working to turn around the slide in numbers, and we see a new period of growth...Not just in sheer numbers, but widening demographics, with a higher percentage of female members, as well as increased diversity in ages and cultural backgrounds. .The Umbrella of Rotary is Opening Wider...
Project Phoenix 223, as you may know, focuses of establishing new, additional Rotary clubs; using imagination and flexibilty to help widen the "Umbrella" of Rotary. Ashley Hall of the I-Falls club, will be spearheading the Project 223 within our District this year...Our focus will be with both the AGs and each clubs Membership Chair. We will all be hearing much from her in the very near future.
We will be having a growth period in Rotary. There are many people out there, who would love to do the things we do...have the fellowship we have in Rotary...just need to be asked...Our new RI President calls it, "Each One, Bring One," and so we all have this duty... Stay Tuned for an Exciting Year!
