We recently traveled to Bolivia to visit our Rotary District projects that included medical clinics and water well projects.I’m happy to report that all projects have been successfully completed and functioning. The Rotary 5580 Laguna Sulti Water Well Projects in Chirusi Rosario & Tajamar are in operation and serving these Communities. The Chirusi Rosario water tank was completed on October 26, 2022, and they claim that this water tank with its ROTARY logo is the tallest in the whole wide world.
It is located at nearly 8500 feet above sea level. Last month on February 16th, 2024, there was a dedication ceremony to give thanks and to dance in celebration as they dedicated the final phase of this deep well project in partnership with Mano a Mano and Rotary. This was a 4-phase project (water well, water tower, water piping distribution network, piping water to households) over the past 4 years, one which makes clean water available throughout this community of about 1,300 people. The well for Laguna Sulti is physically located in the community of Tajamar and it serves both communities and four times as many people as initially estimated. Mano a Mano Neuvo Mundo successfully completed the well in the community of Tajamar, below ground is over 27 KM of pipeline serving 100 households from the successful 350-foot well drilled with our Rotary District 5580 support.
We want to thank all Rotarians and let them know that these projects would not have become a reality without the partnership of Rotary clubs and generous donors. We are grateful for all your support.
