  • The camper fee is $600 and is due March 31.
  • Start recruiting now -- students are busy and their summers will fill up quickly!
  • Everyone who has received this email will gain viewing access to a list of students who have applied.

Big Deadlines to Keep in Mind

March 31, 2025

Fees must be sent for campers.

April 30, 2025

Selected campers must be communicated with District 5580 RYLA leadership.

We are limited to 134 spots on a first-come-first-serve basis. Spots will be reserved by payment by Rotary Clubs, not by student applications. No refunds are available after March 31.

 

Submitting Selected Campers

Campers can apply online at http://district5580ryla.org starting February 1, 2025. Direct students to the District 5580 RYLA website to access and fill out the application in the "Potential Campers" section of the website. 

 

Students will receive an email with a copy of their completed application, which parents/guardians can then sign and turn into your club representative.

 

The club representative must then submit their final camper selection(s) via this form to confirm your club's sponsorship of the student.

 

Only online submissions (from both campers and Rotary Clubs) will be accepted. Any paper forms available are outdated and not approved for use.

 

Rotary Clubs will not be collecting medical and liability forms. Once students are selected by Rotary Clubs via the form above, the RYLA team will reach out to students for completion of these forms.

 

Recruitment Ideas

  • We'll be sending out messages to last year's campers to help with recruitment -- they are often the best source for future campers!
  • Connect and develop ongoing relationships with school counselors, coaches, music directors, and youth group leaders. Encourage them to nominate students who are ready to enhance their leadership capabilities.
  • There’s a promotional video you can use at your club during Student of the Month or through your clubs social media pages: http://district5580ryla.org/campers/
  • Like and share the RYLA Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter account updates.
  • Post on your social media sites.

We require each Club to have a RYLA Chairperson. You can review the guidelines for RYLA Chairpersons, available on the RYLA website http://district5580ryla.org/rotarians/ for more information on recruiting students, selection and general timeline.
