District #5580 Rotarians, we are embarking on an experiment to see if we can harness the power of media to drive membership! Beginning April 1, 2019, The Rotarians in the Eastern part of District 5580 will be hearing us ask for 'People of Action' interested in Rotary to find us! As it will be broadcast over WDSE and WRPT, it will be more east-central but it is driving people to go to http://www.rotary.org and find a club so don’t be surprised if they find you, wherever you may be.
This underwriting will be for a 9 week period culminating in a Rotarian evening of answering phones during the June Pledge Drive. Your mission; please handle any inquiry with all due haste and if you can, make it easy, once they do hit your website, to contact your membership chair to get the invite to join you at the next available meeting.
If you aren’t familiar with all of the tools at rotary.org, this is a great time to explore! Set up your account while you’re there and click on ‘get involved’ . It will lead you to a host of information on joining, clubs and Rotary!
This is a beginning and if you have suggestions, let us know! If you think it may work for your area, let us know! Our fellow Rotarians in neighboring districts as well as the PBS people are excited to see if this can be a new step in Rotary evolution. Let’s do all we can to make it work and gain more ‘People of Action’ for Rotary!
