Youth Exchange is about creating connections, building understanding and changing lives. For a student, the experience can be life-changing. They attend school, learn a new language, experience another culture and become part of a host family. They return home with new confidence, lifelong friendships and a much broader understanding of the world.
And the impact goes both ways. Host families get to experience another culture right in their own home. Rotary members build relationships with young people from around the world. And our communities gain a new perspective on what it means to be part of a global community.
Youth Exchange is also a powerful way to tell the Rotary story. When students share what Rotary has done for them, they become some of our strongest ambassadors. Their stories demonstrate what Rotary can accomplish through projects, but also through people and relationships.
